Another Year, Another Yoller
Welcome (belatedly) to a new school year! It's November Break, and we're in the thick of some of the most stressful work of the year. New initiatives, new programming, new colleagues, new challenges, new students, and more. The overarching threads of this year though? Pretty good. Connections with colleagues that go beyond curriculum. We share books, text memes, and give each other crap for being out sick or on PD/Personal Days. This is a first for me, since I typically guard my personal self from Work People. HS Circulation numbers are up, WAY up, even from the years before me. Partially because of one avid 9th grade reader, but across the board anyway. 9th grade volunteer! Looks a lot like mentorship, and I am absolutely good with that.
